Founder
 Douglas Cancienne Sr. is the president
and chief executive officer of DC Commercial, a firm that truly
embodies the philosophy of "Creating Value through Superior
Representation". Mr. Cancienne founded DC Commercial in 1992,
because he saw the need for a better kind of brokerage company. In the
early 1990's Mr. Cancienne was CEO of a commercial real
estate syndication company. Prior to the opening of these companies,
Mr. Cancienne was the top-performing broker both nationally and
regionally at a well known and major commercial real estate company.
During his tenure there, he opened one of the company's most
successful offices. Previous to working for this company, Mr. Cancienne
was likewise the top-performing broker of another major real estate
brokerage company, where he and his office were the most successful
company-wide. Mr. Cancienne has worked with and trained many of the top
brokers in Southern California. During his 25 year career, Mr.
Cancienne has brokered close to two billion dollars in real estate
transactions, which include office buildings, retail centers, shopping
centers, land, apartment complexes, mobile home parks, mini storages,
HUD financed transactions and bond-financed properties. Prior to his
career in the real estate industry, Mr. Cancienne was President and CEO
of a radiopharmaceutical company in the 1970's. Mr. Cancienne
attended Louisiana State University and received his Bachelors of
Science Degree from the University of Louisiana. Afterwards, Mr.
Cancienne received his Doctorate from the University of the Pacific
(Cum Laude). Included among Mr. Cancienne's professional
associations, memberships and affiliations are the Apartment Owners
Association of Los Angeles, the International Council of Shopping
Centers, the National Association of Realtors, the California
Association of Realtors, the Building Owners and Managers Association,
the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and the Southland
Regional Association of Realtors.
